Audible offers two types of membership plans: Audible Plus and Audible Premium Plus.

The most important feature of a Premium Plus membership plan is Audible’s credit system which gives you access to the entire premium catalog.
Here are a few important things to know about how credits work.
- You do not need to use the monthly credits right away as credits expire after 12 months from the issue date. You can find the credit expiry dates on the Audible website [Account Name > Account Details > Credit Summary]
- If you have less than 2 credits in your account [0-1], you can purchase extra credits. When you are low on credits, you will get an offer to grab credits at a discounted price.
- If you do not like an Audible book purchased with a credit, you can return the audiobook and get back the credit to reuse.
- Audible regularly offers 2-for-1 and 3-for-2 deals to Premium Plus members where you can grab an extra audiobook using your credits
There are some ways to get credits for free. I recently got an offer to ‘use 3 credits, get 1 free’ and I grabbed it immediately.
Audible’s credit system allows you to get expensive audiobooks for less than the listed price.

Is Audible Premium Plus Membership Worth It?
I am subscribed to the Premium Plus plan and always recommend it over the Audible Plus membership. For just $7 more per month, you gain access to far more value than the Audible Plus has to offer.
The included monthly credit alone, which lets you choose any premium title, is well worth the extra cost.If you use credits effectively, there is no reason to get any Audible book for more than $7 – $10.
Think of Audible as a giant candy store with two sections. One big section features premium, high-quality chocolates, while the other smaller section offers gummy worms.
The Audible Plus plan gives you access to the gummy worms only. With the Premium Plus plan, you can enjoy the gummy worms and choose one of the fancy, premium chocolates from the high-end section (Audible’s Premium Catalog)
The Premium Plus plans also come with exclusive sales and offers. I love the 2-for-1 credit sales that allow me to get 2 audiobooks using one credit.
While comparing both types of membership plans, I think Audible’s Premium Plus plan is worth it and a better choice and value for money.
