Audiobooks.com makes it easy to cancel and reactivate your subscription. This article will guide you through the whole process.
7 Things to Know Before Canceling Your Subscription
Here are a few important things to know before canceling your membership plan.
- If you cancel during your free trial, all audiobooks that you recieved as part of the free trial benefits will be removed from your library. It includes the audiobook you purchased with credit and VIP selection books.
- If you have not used your free credit yet, it will also be removed.
- If you have purchased any audiobook (through cash or monthly credits), they are yours to keep forever even after canceling your membership.
- You will lose access to all VIP Rewards sections audiobooks as they are only for streaming, and you do not own them.
- You can use the Audiobooks.com app and purchase titles (with cash) after canceling your membership.
- You can cancel your subscription only on the Audiobooks.com website. Subscription cannot be canceled in the app.
- If you signed up for the subscription in-app. It can be canceled through Audible app (explained later in the article)

How to cancel Audiobooks.com Membership
Follow the steps below to cancel your subscription
- Go to Audiobooks.com and sign in to your account
- Click on the My Account option on the top right of the screen

- Scroll down and click on the Cancel Subscription option under the Billing Information

- The next page will show you all the perks you will lose after canceling your membership. If you cancel during the trial, you will lose access to the audiobook you got with credit and the VIP Reward books.
You will retain all audiobooks you purchased (through membership credits or cash) and can listen to them after the cancelation. Scroll down on the page and click on the Continue to Cancel option

- On the next page, Audiobooks.com wants to know why you want to cancel your membership. Check one of the boxes or provide the reason in the box. I checked ‘Too expensive‘ as the reason of canceling (you will know why later in the article)
You can also let them know if you will return in the future (optional). Click Confirm Cancel to continue

- Your subscription is successfully canceled

That’s it. You have successfully canceled your subscription.
If you signed up for an Audiobooks.com subscription in-app, you can follow the steps below to cancel your subscription.
For Android Users
- Login to your Audiobooks.com accounts in the Audiobooks app
- Tap on the Profile icon [top right corner of your screen]
- Tap on the cog/ gear icon, in the same spot. Tap on Settings
- Tap on the Manage button beside Account Status
You will be directed to your Google account. You can manage your subscription here.
At the bottom of the page, tap the Cancel Subscription option and follow the instructions to complete the process.
For Apple Users
- Open the app on your iOS device
- Navigate to Apple ID > Subscription
- Locate Audiobooks.com and follow the on-screen prompts to cancel your subscription
After canceling, you can still use the Audiobooks.com app to listen to your purchased titles or any of the 10,000 free titles.
After 5 days of cancelation, I received an email with a special discounted membership at $9.95/ month. That’s $5 off the normal monthly fee.

This is probably because i picked ‘Too Expensive‘ as the reason of cancelation.
How To Reactivate Audiobooks.com Account
You can easily reactivate a canceled/ paused account anytime you want. Audiobooks.com will place your account on hold if you miss a monthly payment.
To reactivate a canceled/ paused account, follow the instructions below
- Go to Audiobooks.com website and log in to your account
- Click on the My Account option on the top right of the screen
- Next, click on the Reactivate option

- To reactivate your account, provide the billing information. You can fill in your credit/ debit card information or choose one of the alternative payment methods including PayPal, Google Pay, or Amazon Pay.
The Summary section shows subscription charges and your next billing date. Click on the Reactivate option after providing the billing information

There are no limitations on how many times you can cancel/reactivate the Audiobooks.com subscription.
You can also use the Audiobooks.com app without a subscription and do the following tasks
- The Audiobooks.com app offers over 10,000 free titles that you can enjoy without a membership plan
- You can purchase titles without a subscription but purchases outside a subscription are only available through the Audiobooks.com website
- You can listen to all purchased titles (with credits or cash), even after canceling your membership
- Audiobooks.com also offers monthly discounts on select titles to non-members and you can look forward to seasonal sales to get titles at major discounts
