I posted a simple tip on Reddit for Audible users considering canceling their membership and it helped many people score some great deals.
So, if you are searching for how to cancel Audible membership, try this first.
Before You Cancel Audible Membership, Try This
Go to the Audible’s show offers page before you cancel. You will see some exclusive discounted offers to keep your membership.
My annual plan is about to expire. These are the offers I received.

I am going with the Premium Plus 12 Credits per year plan for $85.99. That’s 42% off the regular $149.50 price.
It includes 12 credits and a full year of benefits. I get access to the Plus Catalog, 30% off cash purchases, and member-only sales, including two sitewide sales each year.

If you don’t like the listed offers, click “Contact Customer Support” at the bottom of the page. You can ask for a better deal.
Last year, I didn’t get the $85.99 offer, so I contacted support. They offered me an annual plan for $99.95 + tax (12 credits), which is $50 off the regular price.
I asked if they could do better. They added 1 bonus credit, giving me 13 credits at no extra cost.

If you still want to cancel your Audible subscription, this guide shows how to do it on the website or app. But first, here are a few important things to know:
- Use All of Your Credits: You will lose any unused credits after canceling, so use them first. Know more from here.
- Return or Exchange Books: You need an active membership to return or exchange titles. If you’ve been thinking about swapping a book, do it before you cancel.
- Consider Alternatives: You can pause your membership or downgrade to a cheaper plan instead of canceling.
There’s no limit on how many times you can cancel and reactivate your membership. Canceling makes sense if you have a backlog of books, want to try alternatives, or just need a break.
