Amazon offers books in all formats including physical books, eBooks (Kindle books), and audiobooks (through Audible).

You can purchase audiobooks from Amazon and listen to them on the free Audible app.

It is also possible to purchase audiobooks as a gift for your family and friends.

How to Buy Audiobooks on Amazon

To buy an audiobook on Amazon, follow these steps

• Go to Amazon’s website and sign in with your account
• Search the audiobook you are looking for from the top search bar [alternatively, you can browse Amazon’s audiobook collection]. Select the book from the search results
• On the book’s details page, select audiobook format. You can listen to the sample of audiobook before purchasing here. You can get the audiobook for free by joining Audible’s 30 day free trial or purchase the title with cash (and listen to it on the free Audible app)

• If you already have an Audible membership, you can get the audiobook for 1 credit or purchase it in cash. Audible members get a 30% discount on all cash purchases.

• I will go ahead and buy the audiobook with cash by clicking on the Buy option and then Buy now with 1-Click

• On the next screen, you are asked to select a payment method. You can also add a card here if you do not already have a bank card connected to your Amazon account. Click on Continue.

• That’s it. You have purchased the audiobook successfully.

You can now listen to the audiobook using the Audible app or without the app.

Download and install the free Audible app from the App Store[iPhone users] or Play Store[Android users].

When you open the app for the first time, sign in using your Amazon account details.

Audible app has four sections: Home, Library, Discover, and Profile.

• Home: This section has recommendations and highlights the new releases and best titles.
• Library: This section has all of your audiobooks and other content.
• Discover: This section helps you browse and search audiobooks and find your next listen
• Profile: This section contains your account details, app settings, membership details, and more

Go to the Library section from the bottom navigation bar to access your freshly purchased book.

• In the Personalize section, provide the recipient’s details, delivery date, and a custom message. Click on the continue to checkout option after providing the information

• Next, Confirm your purchase after reviewing all details and payment method

The receiver will get an email with audiobook details and instructions on how to redeem the gift.
