Audible Sitewide Sale: 9 Tips for Shopping Like a Pro

There is no better time to fill up your Audible library than the rare Sitewide sales. Audible’s entire catalog is available at up to 85% discount on these sales.

The sale usually lasts one week. I wait for the sitewide sale to stockpile my books for the whole year.

The last sitewide sale was in December 2024, and all titles on my Wish List were available at up to 87% off.

I purchased only 7 titles (for $26.51) because I already had many unfinished ones in my library.

How often does Audible have Sitewide Sales?

Audible doesn’t provide guaranteed dates for their next Sitewide Sale, but based on my experience and data from the past three years, these sales usually occur twice a year.

The first typically takes place in mid-summer, followed by another around Black Friday.

Here’s a list of when each sitewide sale happened in the past three years.

  • 2022 (March 2022 & September 2022)
  • 2023 (June 2023 & November 2023)
  • 2024 (June 2024 & December 2024)

Based on Audible’s track record, it’s reasonable to assume that they hold sitewide sales twice a year.

9 Tips to Get the Most Out of Audible’s Sitewide Sales

Here are some of the important tips to get the most out of Audible’s sitewide sale

  1. I always recommend building a huge Wishlist throughout the year. You can purchase all titles on your Wishlist on sitewide sale, and you are set for the whole year.
  2. Don’t accidentally use Audible credits to purchase the audiobooks. If you purchase Audible books by adding them to your cart, credits are used as default payment methods. Make sure to check the cash payment box before proceeding.

  1. Only purchase the titles that are available for less than a credit’s price. All titles are available at huge discounts (55% to 85%), so you will most likely get your favorite titles for much less than a credit’s price. I don’t think twice if any of my favorite titles are available for $5 or less.
  2. If you have accidentally used a credit to get a book on sale, you can always return the title and get back your credit to re use it in the future.
  3. To find the best deals, go to your account’s Wish List and sort books by Price: Low to High. You will get the cheapest books on your Wish List at the top
  4. Now is the best time to get the recommended titles, bestsellers, and popular titles that do not usually go on sale. I had been eyeing Project Hail Mary and got it for $3.89 at the sitewide sale.

  1. If you are a Kindle Unlimited user, you may save even more. I have discovered that the Audible add-on is often even cheaper than the sale prices if you borrow a Kindle Unlimited title.
  2. If your favorite title is on sale, purchase it without keeping it in your cart for too long. Some users reported sale prices changed and discounts decreased.

  1. If a book you like is a little pricey, check back later. Audible would adjust the prices through the week and certain books would be significantly cheaper. This is an observation from previous sitewide sale. If a title is not 85%+ off, wait until near the end of the sale. Sometimes the titles will slip into a better discount.

Here are some of the tips to get the most out of Audible sales and deals in general.

  • Visit Audible’s sales and Deals page regularly. This page features all current sales in one place.
  • Sign up for sales notifications via email. You will receive all sales and offers in your email. Go to Audible’s site and sign in to your account and click on Account Name > Account Details > Notifications and sign up for email notifications

  • You can receive regular sales notifications via text messages by texting Update from your phone to 500500
  • If you find an audiobook that you want to purchase or find interesting, add it to your account’s Wish List. You will get a notification when titles in your Wish List go on sale. This feature helps you to keep track of audiobooks you want to listen to in the future and grab them at a discount.
  • Use your Audible credits to purchase titles that cost more than a credit’s price. Save some of the credits for 2-for-1 deals where you can use one credit to get two titles. If a title costs less than a credit’s price, purchase it with cash.

If you use your credits wisely and take advantage of Audible sales, you can purchase your audiobooks for much less than the listed price.
