One of the disadvantages of audiobooks is that they can be expensive if purchased at the listed price.

Some users argue that Audible is very expensive as compared to its cheaper alternatives.

Audible offers plenty of sales, deals, and offers to its members including Daily Deals, Under $5 Deals, Monthly Deals, 2-for-1, and 3-for-2 Deals. These sales offer hundreds of titles at up to 85% discount.

This article will help you understand different types of Audible sales and deals and help you get the most out of them.

Audible regularly offers 2-for-1 sales to its members. You can choose 2 books from a selection of books and get them at the cost of 1 credit.

This is a must-visit section for frugal audiobook lovers. You can quickly check this page every day for Daily Deals

2: Sign Up for Sales Notifications

Another way to keep up with sales and deals is by signing up for sales emails. Get all sales and offers in your email without checking the website or app for the latest deals.

To sign up for email notifications

  • Go to Audible’s website and sign in to your account
  • Click on Account Name > Account Details

Select the Sales and Offers option under Marketing emails and announcements section. You can check the box for Audible Daily Deals to receive an email about Daily Deal offers.

Tip: You can also text Update from your phone to 500500 to receive regular sales notifications via text messages.

3: Use the Wish List Feature

This is one of my favorite Audible features. You can add audiobooks that you find interesting to your account’s Wish List and get notified when they go on a sale.

This feature allows you to keep track of what you want to listen to in the future and get those titles at a discount.

When you find a title that catches your interest, add it to your Wish List instead of buying it at the listed price. You can add a title to your Wish List on the Audible Website or Audible app.

To add a book to your Wish List on the Audible app, tap on Add to Wish List on your iPhone

Note: On the book’s details page click on More Options > Add to Wish List to add the title to the Wish List

You can also add a title to your Wish List on Audible’s mobile site by tapping on Add to Wish List on the title’s details page.

4: Use the Credits Effectively

Audible offers both cash and credit deals. If a title is available for a discounted price, it is best to purchase it using cash.

Audible offers up to 85% discount on audiobooks and you can get them for under $5.

It is also important to save some credits to get the 2-for-1 or 3-for-2 sales. Avoid using credits on cheap titles (any book that costs less than the credit’s price).

The best use of credits is for lengthy/ expensive books and 2-for-1 sales. Know more about credits and how can you get some free Audible credits.

If you buy an eBook on Amazon for your Kindle, you mostly get an offer to add the Audible narration for a significantly reduced price. Whispersync deals give you the same book as you buy from Audible.

You can also get the Whispersync deals for the Kindle eBooks you already own using Audible Matchmaker.

If you borrow an eBook through Kindle Unlimited, you often get the option to purchase the accompanying audiobook at a discount.

Unlike other deals, Whispersync deals stay for months and are available to all Amazon users. You do not need a Kindle Unlimited or Audible membership to get Whsipersync deals.

The coolest feature of Whispersync titles is how eBook and audiobook formats sync and allow you to switch back and forth between listening and reading.
