Audible Badges [Everything You Need To Know]

Brands offer reward systems to acknowledge customers’ achievements. Audible badges can be considered as trophies that you have in your cabinet after achieving certain milestones.

This article explains all of the 18 Audible badges and what it takes to earn them.

How to Access Audible Badges

To access badges on the Audible app

• Open the Audible app and tap on the Profile option from the bottom navigation bar.
• Tap on the Badges option

This procedure works on the Audible app for iOS (iPhone, iPod, and iPad) and Android. The Badge Collection section has all the badges that you can earn.

The unlocked badge icons are colourful with a ring around them, highlighting the level of the badge including Basic, Silver, or Gold.

Note: The badge collection can vary depending your marketplace.

8 Important Things to Know About Badges on Audible

Know these things to understand better how badges work on Audible.

1. Audible badges are nothing more than collector’s items. Consider them as your achievements or like trophies in your cabinet.
2. With badges, Audible motivates customers to listen to more audiobooks. While some of them are achievable after listening on weekends or lunch times, other motivates you to finish more titles in less time.
3. Tapping on an unlocked badge will highlight the achievement that earned you the badge with an option to share your achievement on social media by tapping on the Brag about it button. Tapping on a locked badge will share a mystery poem with an idea of how to unlock it.

4. The badges can only be viewed on Audible apps for Android and iOS. Users can not track the badges on the Audible website.
5. Badges are linked to your account. You will retain them even if you log in to a new device or reinstall the app.
6. The badges earned on one device sync to other devices where you are using Audible. You will see your badge collection on all the devices where you sign in with your account.
7. Each listener has a unique badge collection highlighting their achievements. Sharing Audible content through Amazon Household will not share your badge collection. Similarly, if you merge two Audible accounts, your badge collection will not transfer.
8. Once you have achieved the threshold required to obtain the basic level of a badge, it may take some time to unlock the badge. You will get a notification when the badge is unlocked.

Brands use badges and reward systems to celebrate customer’s accomplishments. I love it when I get an unexpected notification about unlocking a new badge when listening to an audiobook.

How to Get Audible Badges

This section explains what is the threshold to unlock each badge and what it takes to get the Silver or Golden rings.

1: 7-Day Stretch Badge

Audible wants you to listen to an audiobook every day of the week. Your daily audiobook streak is tracked for a week and you get the 7-Day Stretch badge with a minimum of one book per day for 7 days. 

• Basic 7-Day Stretch Badge: Complete 7 books in one week
• Silver 7-Day Stretch Badge: Complete 15 books in one week
• Gold 7-Day Stretch Badge: Complete 50 books in one week

2: Dabbler Badge

Audible wants you to try different genres. To get the Dabbler badge, you need to try a variety of different titles. You do not need to finish the titles to get the badge.

• Basic Dabbler Badge: Listen to the parts of 3 different titles, in one day
• Silver Dabbler Badge: Listen to the parts of 15 different titles, in one day
• Gold Dabbler Badge: Listen to the parts of 40 different titles, in one day

3: High Noon Badge

This badge is achievable for daytime listeners. One of the benefits of audiobooks is multitasking which means you can listen to your favorite title while having launch.

• Basic High Noon Badge: Listen for 2 hours during lunchtime
• Silver High Noon Badge: Listen for 3 hours during lunchtime
• Gold High Noon Badge: Listen for 4 hours during lunchtime

4: Marathoner Badge

One of the most challenging badges to achieve. You need hours of listening in a single session to achieve the Marathoner badge.

• Basic Marathoner Badge: Listen for 16 hours straight in a single session
• Silver Marathoner Badge: Listen for 18 hours straight in a single session
• Gold Marathoner Badge: Listen for 24 hours straight in a single session

Sleeping is not allowed and will be considered cheating 😉

5: Night Owl Badge

If you listen to audiobooks at night (12 PM – 5 AM), this badge is achievable. You need to complete a minimum of 4 hours of listening in one night to get the Night Owl badge.

• Basic Night Owl Badge: Listen for 4 hours in one night
• Silver Night Owl Badge: Listen for 6 hours in one night
• Gold Night Owl Badge: Listen for 8 hours in one night

You can listen to any audiobook of your choice; the target is to complete 4,6 and 8 hours of listening time.

6: Social Butterfly Badge

Audible wants you to share your achievements and book recommendations on social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, or Email.

• Basic Social Butterfly Badge: Achievable after 5 social media shares
• Silver Social Butterfly Badge: Achievable after 25 social media shares
• Gold Social Butterfly Badge: Achievable after 100 social media shares

To achieve the social media badge, connect your Audible account with social media. You can share the book recommendations using the ‘Share’ button within the Audible library.

7: Weekend Warrior Badge

If you listen to audiobooks on weekends, you can earn this badge. You need at least 5 hours of listening time to get the basic version.

• Basic Weekend Warriors Badge: 5 listening hours in one weekend
• Silver Weekend Warriors Badge: 10 listening hours in one weekend
• Gold Weekend Warriors Badge: 24 listening hours in one weekend

The gold ring is tough to get in this one.

8: The Librarian Badge

If you are an avid audiobook listener, you can get this badge on Audible. You need 50 audiobooks in your library to get the first level.

• Basic Librarian Badge: 50 Books in your account’s library
• Silver Librarian Badge: 200 Books in your account’s library
• Gold Librarian Badge: 500 Books in your account’s library

You need audiobooks purchased using cash or credits. The Plus Catalog titles will not count.

9: Stats Surfer Badge

The Stats Surfer badge is based on the number of times you have viewed your statistics.

• Basic Stats Surfer Badge: Check your stats/badges for at least 50 times
• Silver Stats Surfer Badge: Check your stats/badges for at least 200 times
• Gold Stats Surfer Badge: Check your stats/badges for at least 500 times

You can check your stats and badges by tapping on your Profile option at the bottom navigation bar in the Audible app. It includes badge collection, listening time and level, and other details.

10: The Epic Badge

It would help if you listened to lengthy books

• Basic Epic Badge: Complete a 20-hour-long book
• Silver Epic Badge: Complete a 30-hour-long book
• Gold Epic Badge: Complete a 50-hour-long book

The gold version is hard to get but you can search for title by length on Audible to see the options.

11: Done & Dusted Badge

To get this badge, you need to listen to a book from start to finish in a single stint.

• Basic Done & Dusted Badge: Finish at least 1 book in a single stint
• Silver Done & Dusted Badge: Finish at least 3 books in a single stint
• Gold Done & Dusted Badge: Finish at least 5 books in a single stint

This badge is easy to achieve during road trips and traveling.

12: Déjà vu Badge

This badge is also hard to get, for me at least. You have to listen to a title multiple times to earn it.

• Basic Déjà vu Badge : Listen to the same book for at least 3 times
• Silver Déjà vu Badge : Listen to the same book for at least 10 times
• Gold Déjà vu Badge : Listen to the same book for at least 20 times

Do not skip the portions of a book to earn the badge 😉

13: Bitesized Bookworm Badge

You can earn this badge by listening to parts of different titles. The goal is to taste different audiobooks without finishing them.

• Basic Bitesized Bookworm Badge: Listen to 3 different audiobooks in one day
• Silver Bitesized Bookworm Badge: Listen to 15 different audiobooks in one day
• Gold Bitesized Bookworm Badge: Listen to 40 different audiobooks in one day

The gold version is a challenge as you need 40 books in your library to begin with.

14: The Annotator Badge

You can earn the Annotator badge if you add bookmarks with notes while listening to a book.

• Basic Annotator Badge: At least 10 bookmarks
• Silver Annotator Badge: At least 40 bookmarks
• Gold Annotator Badge: At least 125 bookmarks

When an audiobook is playing, tap on the 3 dots menu on the top right of the screen in the Audible app. Next, tap on Clips & Bookmarks to add a bookmark.

15: On The Trot Badge

For this badge, Audible wants you to be a regular listener. If you have audiobooks in your daily routine, this is easy to get.

•  Basic On the Trot Badge: Listen for at least 7 days in a row
• Silver On the Trot Badge: Listen for at least 30 days in a row
• Gold On the Trot Badge: Listen for at least 90 days in a row

You have to be an audiobook addict to get the gold ring in this.

16: Sampler Badge

The key to unlocking this badge is to listen to more samples of the books—no need to purchase the title.

• Basic Sampler Badge: Listen to at least 10 samples
• Silver Sampler Badge: Listen to at least 20 samples
• Gold Sampler Badge: Listen to at least 50 samples

It may take some time for the badge to unlock after listening to samples.

17: Alexa Badge

All you need is to listen to Audible books on your Alexa device or Alexa app and this badge will be added to your collection.

• Basic Alexa Badge: Listen to 1 book on Alexa
• Silver Alexa Badge: Listen to at least 3 books on Alexa
• Gold Alexa Badge: Listen to at least 7 books on Alexa

18: Collector Badge

This badge is for Audible users who have unlocked other top badges.

• Basic Collector Badge: 1 Gold badge
• Silver Collector Badge: 5 Gold badge
• Gold Collector Badge: 10 Gold badge

You are required to collect other gold badges to get this badge.
